Client: Express Safety

Website: http://www.express-safety.co.uk

Project type: E-Commerce

We were really excited when we were approached by Express Safety and asked to develop their new web site and on-line brand.

The brief required us to create a fresh, contemporary design in a clear and expressive layout, making it easy for visitors to but their PPE on-line.

What does the web site include?

The Express Safety web site has a wealth of features that help both the owner and the visitor to get so much more from the application.

The site features:

  • An inventory management application
  • A news and blog component
  • A payment gateway
  • User management
  • Account management and invoiceing
  • Stock control and management
  • Interactive components and elements, such as ratings and recommendations

What technology did we use?

The web site is written in ASP.NET, using C#.

We make singificant use of CSS elements within the web site to render and position the layout.

One of the most exciting things that was happening in the internet community at the time we were devloping the web site was the release of Ajax Controls for ASP.NET.

This allowed us to incorporate some small Ajax driven features that add a significant value to bot the web site and the user experience.

We also use some Flash movies for banner ads.
