Creating solutions that work for your business

The web site challenge N-Web Design

Is your web site working for you?

This may seem like a very direct question, but let's face it, most websites are there to do a job. That job is most often to promote or sell a company, product or service.

So what is the website challenge?

We believe that your website should be something that works hard, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We also believe that your web site should be appealing, easy to use, informative and reflect an image of your company that you approve of.

Many websites that are old, poorly designed, out of date or incorrectly planned will not meet our standards for a good website and will certainly not meet yours.

We have devised a simple * step process to help you decide whether your web site is up to the job. We think this will help you to learn a little more about what your web site should be doing and how your website should work for you.

So how do I take the challenge?

We have a set of questions that we think will help you get an objective and informed view of your website.

  • Do my clients comment positively on my website?
  • Do new clients contact me through my web site?
  • Is my web site up to date and informative?
  • Would I be comfortable with directing potential clents to my web site for information?
  • Does my website link essential areas of promotion and marketing for my business?
  • Is my website generating marketing data?
  • Do I have a product or service that is not presented by my web site?
  • Is my web site instantly recognisable as part of my brand?
  • Do my competitors enjoy a website that gives them an advantage in our marketplace?
  • Does my website help streamline my business?
  • Do I realise the potential that my website has for increasing my business?
  • Does my website help my customers to interact with my business?
  • Does my web site encourage my customers to buy from me?
  • Do I have a website that I consider to be a waste of money?
  • Is my website poor or underperforming because I have not understood or never been advised on using its potential
  • Have I been reluctant to invest in a website because I have been confused about what I need?
  • Have I been let down by my website against what I was told it would achieve?

Yes, there are a lot of questions to ask yourself about your current website. It is unlikely that, if your website is only a few years old or less, that you will not get a satisfactory answer to all the questions.

It is, however, likely that you will read a few of these questions and honestly consider that your website could be improved. This isn't to suggest that your website is bad or needs neccessarily completely re-designing, developing and promoting, more that it simply requires an honest, objective view to bring out its potential.
